Understand the boundaries first,
then use disposable email with confidence

Short-term sign-ups and long-term accounts need different address strategies. Get clear answers here, including what you should never entrust to a disposable inbox.

Fast, low-risk tasks

Software trials, downloads, one-off event registrations, and browsing low-value forums are good uses for a disposable address to keep follow-up marketing emails separate.

Ongoing, recoverable relationships

Use a permanent forwarding alias or an email address you control long term for orders, bills, paid services, medical matters, and work accounts.

Is disposable email free?

Yes. Open the home page to get an address and check your inbox—no registration required. The forwarding dashboard requires a login verification code sent to your destination email.

How long can I use a disposable email address?

The initial validity period is usually 3 hours, with a server-enforced maximum lifetime of 24 hours. Follow the live countdown in the tool and do not rely on an expired address to receive new messages.

Can it receive six-digit verification codes?

Standard email verification codes can usually be received, but the sending website may reject disposable email domains. MsgGone cannot bypass another service’s registration policies and does not guarantee instant delivery from every sending system.

Why hasn’t my email arrived?

Make sure the address matches the one you entered when submitting the form, then wait a few minutes and refresh. Do not switch addresses while waiting. If the message still does not arrive, use the mail diagnostics page to check for sender delays, domain blocking, or an expired address.

Does disposable email keep attachments?

Disposable email does not retain attachments, and messages larger than 100MB are rejected. For attachments and long-term records, use permanent forwarding: messages up to 50MB can be forwarded and retained; messages from 50–100MB are forwarded but not retained.

Can someone else read my emails if they know the address?

The temporary inbox is accessed using the access token held by your current browser, but it should not be treated as a secure vault for confidential information. Do not share the address or forwarding token, and do not receive identity documents, contracts, or financial records.

Why isn’t it suitable for recovering important accounts?

The address expires, so you may not be able to receive a password-reset link in the future. Link important accounts to a long-term email address you control, or use a manageable permanent forwarding alias.

How many permanent forwarding aliases can I have?

Each account can manage up to 100 aliases. We recommend naming them by website or purpose so you can pause only the affected alias if spam starts arriving.

Does MsgGone sell my email address?

No. Selling email addresses is not our business model. See the Privacy Policy for how necessary service logs, temporary tokens, and forwarding account data are handled.
